I Love You- Found Poem

I’m surrounded by people, young people.

Some of you help heal in some sense, 

I hate to admit, You have ideas planted in your head.

Push back. Be authentic, I’m here, 

I hope you imagine days when you know you can make it.

I know you feel like you can’t tell the whole truth about yourself.

It is toxic, painful. 

There is courage in this room.

All of you, be less horrible to one another,ultimately, it saves lives.

I know you have struggled, draw upon your strength.

There are too many kids suffering being mistreated . 

Too many suicides.

You needed me to tell you that.

The only thing I can really say is,

I love you.
